This page explains how Nodia handles information in the Android app and related community features. / 本页面说明 Nodia Android 应用及相关社区功能中的信息处理方式。

1. Scope

This Privacy Policy explains how Nodia ("Nodia", "we", "us" or "our") collects, uses, stores, shares, protects and otherwise processes your personal information when you access or use Nodia, including our mobile application, related pages, content, community features and other services that link to this Policy.

Nodia is a community content and social product. The current Android app may include invitation-code access, password/Google/Facebook login, profiles, feeds, text/image/video posts, follows, private messages with text or media, likes, comments, saves, shares, reports, user blocking, push notifications and account settings. A feature that is not available in your app version does not apply until it is enabled.

If a specific feature is not available in your version of Nodia, the related data processing will not apply until that feature is enabled.

2. Information We Collect

We collect information only where it is necessary for providing, securing, improving or complying with legal obligations related to Nodia.

2.1 Account and Login Information

When you register, log in or verify your account, we may collect your account ID, invitation code, login method, login status, authentication records and information needed to secure the account. If you use password login, we process the credential information needed to authenticate you; we do not display your password to other users.

If you choose Google Sign-In or Facebook Login, we may receive limited information authorized by you or provided by that service, such as the provider account identifier, display name, email address or profile image.

2.2 Profile Information

You may provide profile information such as avatar, nickname, bio, gender, birthday, relationship or visibility settings, and other information you choose to make visible.

2.3 Content and Community Information

When you use Nodia's community features, we may collect the content and activity you create, upload, publish, comment on, save, like, share, report or send in private messages, including text, images, videos, voice messages, captions, tags where available, comment records, private-message records, interaction records and report evidence.

Your public content, public profile information and public interactions may be visible to other users according to your settings and the product design.

2.4 Device, Log and Usage Information

To operate and secure Nodia, we may collect device model, operating system, app version, language, time zone, network type, IP address, device identifiers, crash logs, diagnostic information, access time, pages viewed, feature clicks, referral source and other usage logs.

2.5 Media, Camera and Album Permissions

If you choose to upload or publish images or videos, Nodia may request access to your camera, photo library or file storage. We only access the media you select or create through Nodia, unless your device operating system grants broader permission and you choose to allow it.

You may disable permissions through your device settings. Some publishing or upload features may not work after permission is disabled.

If you use voice messaging, Nodia may request microphone access and process the voice recording you choose to send. You can disable microphone access in your device settings.

2.6 Notifications

If you enable push notifications, we may process device push tokens and notification preferences to send account alerts, interaction reminders, community updates and service notices. You can disable notifications in Nodia or your device settings.

2.7 Customer Support, Reports and Safety Information

When you contact us, submit feedback, report a post, comment, user or private-message conversation, or appeal a decision, we may collect your contact details, report category, description, screenshots or other evidence, related content, user IDs, processing records and communications with us.

2.8 Payment and Subscription Information

The current Android build does not establish a subscription or paid-feature flow. If Nodia later introduces one, the applicable payment provider may process purchase information, and we will update this Policy and provide the required purchase disclosures before the feature is used.

2.9 Information From Third Parties

Where permitted by law and your authorization, we may receive information from Google Sign-In, Facebook Login, Firebase Analytics, Firebase Crashlytics, Firebase Cloud Messaging, Qiniu media upload/storage services, Google Play, the Android system share sheet and other providers needed to provide Nodia. The providers and data categories may change when the app changes.

3. How We Use Information

We may use your information to:

  1. Create, verify, manage and secure your account.
  2. Provide core features, including browsing, publishing, private messaging, liking, commenting, saving, sharing, reporting, blocking, notifications and account settings.
  3. Display your profile, public content and interactions to other users.

4. Cookies and Similar Technologies

The Nodia Android app and its SDKs may use local storage, device identifiers and similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember preferences, analyze usage, secure the service and diagnose crashes. The separate legal pages may use normal browser storage or cookies.

You may manage browser storage, app permissions and device identifiers through your browser or device settings, but some functions may not work properly if they are disabled.

5. Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell your personal information. We may share or disclose information in the following limited situations:

We require service providers to process information only for authorized purposes and to apply reasonable security safeguards.

6. International Transfer

Depending on Nodia's operations and service providers, your information may be stored or processed in the United States or other countries and regions outside your location. Where required by applicable law, we will use appropriate safeguards for cross-border transfers, such as contractual protections, security assessments or other legally recognized mechanisms.

7. Data Retention

We retain personal information for the shortest period necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this Policy, unless a longer retention period is required or permitted by law.

When your account is deleted or information is no longer necessary, we will delete or anonymize it according to applicable law and our deletion procedures. Some information may remain for a limited period in backups, security logs, report evidence, dispute records or legal compliance records, and will be deleted when no longer needed.

8. Your Rights and Choices

Depending on applicable law, you may have the right to access, copy, correct, delete, restrict or object to the processing of your personal information, withdraw consent, manage permissions, opt out of certain messages, request account deletion or lodge a complaint with a regulator.

You can exercise some rights through Nodia's account settings. For other requests, contact us at support@nodiaring.com. We may verify your identity before processing your request.

9. Account Deletion

If you cannot access the app, email support@nodiaring.com with the subject “Nodia Account Deletion Request”. After a completed deletion request, we delete or anonymize the account and associated personal information, except information we must retain for legal obligations, security and fraud prevention, disputes, or the establishment, exercise or defense of legal claims. Retained information is access-restricted and deleted when the retention reason ends. Public content may be removed or anonymized; copies already made by others or retained by third-party services may remain outside our control.

10. Children and Minors

Nodia is not intended for minors. You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority in your jurisdiction if higher, to use Nodia.

If we discover that we have collected personal information from a minor who is not permitted to use Nodia, we will delete it or take other appropriate measures as required by law.
